Day 01: ARRIVE MUMBAI
Arrive Mumbai by International Flight. Meeting upon arrival at Mumbai Airport and transfer to Hotel. OVERNIGHT AT THE HOTEL.

Day 02: MUMBAI-NAGPUR
Breakfast at the Hotel. Morning sightseeing tour of Bombay. The bustling city of Bombay now called Mumbai has a lot to offer. Visit the Prince of Wales Museum Also visit the Gateway of India overlooking the Harbor; and the Dhobi Ghat, the unique and colorful outdoor 'laundry'. Drive upto the Malabar Hill to the lovely Hanging Gardens and the Kamla Nehru Park from where you will get a wonderful view of Bombay and the Arabian Sea spread out before you. Also visit Mani Bhavan, a small museum dedicated to the life and works of Mahatma Gandhi; and the bustling Crawford Market. Later Transfer in time to Airport for flight to Nagpur.

Day 03: NAGPUR-KANHA
Breakfast at the Hotel. After Breakfast drive to Kanha ( 280 kms/6 hours) with Packed Lunch from the Hotel. Arrive Kanha and Check-in at Camp Resort. KANHA: Ideally situated in the sylvan surroundings of Satpura Hill ranges, Kanha national Park has a core area of 940 sq. kms. Tropical semi-evergreen forests of this area are quite rich in wild fauna, which provide plentiful food for carnivores as well as herbivores. Gaur is also common at Kanha, as it inhabits the dense under growth at higher elevation. Other mammals are the sloth bear, wild boar, musk shrew, and blue bull, Sambhar, deer, mouse deer, palm squirrel and more than 150 species of birds. DINNER AND OVERNIGHT AT THE HOTEL.

Breakfast at the Hotel. Drive from Kanha to Bandhavgarh (212 Kms 5-6 Hrs). Arrive Bandhavgarh and Check-in at CHURHAT KOTHI, (BANDHAVGARH JUNGLE CAMP) Lunch at the Camp.
BANDHAVGARH: Formerly private reserve of the Maharaja of Rewa, the princely state famous for Tigers, this Park is spread in an area of 110 sq kms. It abounds in a variety of flora and fauna including the Tiger, gaur, Leopard,etc. More than 150 species of birds. A few Black Buck may also be seen in an 11th century fort atop the central hill of the park. Dinner and Overnight stay at the camp.

Day 07: BANDHAVGARH
Breakfast at the Hotel. Morning and Afternoon Safari to the Park. Lunch, Dinner and Overnight stay at the Hotel.

Day 10: KHAJURAHO
Breakfast at the Hotel. Morning sightseeing tour of the famous Chandela Dynasty Temples which are set in a lovely grassy park. These temples are really amazing - rising in many peaks and spirals, intricately carved and designed with statues and friezes. These temples are also known for their renowned erotic carvings. Afternoon at leisure Optional Dinner at Ken River Lodge. DINNER AND OVERNIGHT AT THE HOTEL.

Day 11: KHAJURAHO-VARANSI

Meeting and assistance upon arrival and transfer from airport to HOTEL enroute visiting Sarnath Visit the buried Buddhist city of Sarnath, northeast of Varanasi - it is as holy to the Buddhists as Varanasi is to the Hindus. OVERNIGHT AT THE HOTEL.

Day 12: VARANSI
Early morning, drive to Daswamedh Ghat and take a boat ride on the sacred river Ganges. The best time to visit the ghats is at dawn, when pilgrims take their morning dip. There are over 100 ghats in all but Dasadwamedh Ghat is probably the most convenient place to begin the boat ride. Look out as well for the numerous temples, which spot the banks of the river. Return back to Hotel for Breakfast. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Varanasi, visit the numerous temples, which spot the banks of the river. OVERNIGHT AT THE HOTEL.

Day 13: VARANASI-PURI
Breakfast at the Hotel. Day free to explore this fascinating city on your own. Late Afternoon transfer to Mughal Sarai Railway station to board New Delhi Puri Express for Puri.

Day 14: PURI

Arr: PURI at 1300 hours Meeting upon arrival and transfer to Hotel. Afternoon visit Puri, one of the holiest cities for Hindus. It is the principal center for the cult of Jaganatha, another name for Lord Krishna, whose temple is located here. Visit Gundicha Mandir, and several other important temples known for their architectural beauty. OVERNIGHT AT THE HOTEL.

Day 15: PURI
Breakfast at the Hotel. Morning visit Konark. The Sun Temple here stands among the sand dunes of the seashore and is the most impressive of the Orissa Temples. Afternoon visit Raghurajpur (15 Kms) - the artisans village which is the home for many National award winning artisans specializing in Palm leaf work, rock sculptures etc. OVERNIGHT AT THE HOTEL.

Day 16: PURI-CKILKA-PURI
Breakfast at the Hotel. Visit Chilka Lake, which is the largest salt water lake in the country and has a magnificent view of migratory birds at Nalabana. Also enjoy the boat ride on the Lake. OVERNIGHT AT THE HOTEL.

Day 17: PURI-BHUBANESHWAR
Breakfast at the Hotel. Morning drive from Puri to Bhubaneshwar (56 Kms 1:30 Hrs) enroute visiting Pipli and Dhauli. Afternoon visit the Khandagiri & Udaigiri Caves. Six kilometers west of Bhubaneswar, in the sandstone outcrops of the twin hills of Khandagiri & Udaigiri is an important series of Jain cave temples. The rock cut sanctuaries provides the earliest evidence of the artistic traditions in this region. OVERNIGHT AT THE HOTEL.

Day 18: BHUBANESHWAR-DELHI

Day 01: ARRIVE DELHI

HOTEL CHECK-IN TIME 12 NOON. 1400 hours Combined sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi visiting the Raj Ghat - the memorial at the site where Mahatama Gandhi was cremated; drive past Red Fort - once the most opulent fort and palace of the Moghul Empire; Jama Mosque - the largest mosque in India; Humayun's Tomb, the Qutub Minar, drive along the ceremonial avenue - Rajpath, past the imposing India Gate, Parliament House and President's Residence. Day 02: DELHI-KULLU-MANALI
0800 Hours Breakfast at the hotel.
1000 Hours Transfer from your hotel to the airport in time for flight: Departure: Delhi At: 1100 Hours

Day 03: MANALI (2050 Mts.)
0800 Hours Breakfast at the hotel.
0900 Hours Full Day sightseeing in and around Kullu Valley. Visit the Manali bazaar, Hadimba Devi Temple, Vashist Hot Springs and Naggar Castle. Driving around the lush green and fertile valley is an experience in it self. Short walks are recommended, to help your body acclimatise to the altitude. OVERNIGHT AT THE HOTEL.

Day 04 : MANALI-JISPA (3300 Mts.)
Start your overland journey and drive (145 Kms. 7-8 hrs) to Jispa. This high altitude road beyond the great Himalayan range, connects the densely fertile and green Kullu valley to the stark barren region of Ladakh. The drive starts at Manali slowly winding up mountain roads till Rohtang Pass at 3,950 Mts., which connects the Kullu to the Lahaul valley. On entering the Lahaul valley we see a distinct change with the Hindu influence being replaced with the Buddhist religion. We reach Jispa by late afternoon. OVERNIGHT IN TENTED ACCOMMODATION.

Day 05: JISPA
Relax and acclimatise at Jispa. Also drive back 18 Kms to Keylong and walk over to the Kardang Monastery, famous for its Tankha paintings. Return to Jispa for overnight. OVERNIGHT AT THE HOTEL.

Day 06: JISPA-SARCHU (4200 Mts.) (80 Kms. 4 hrs)
Leisurely start to drive over the scenic Baralacha Pass (4880 Mts.). Plenty of stops to capture the scenic grandeur of this majestic landscape dotted with snow capped peaks and high altitude lakes. After crossing the pass drop down to the vast Sarchu plains at an altitude of 4200 Mts. OVERNIGHT IN TENTED ACCOMMODATION.

Day 07: SARCHU-RUMTSE (3505 Mts.) (171 Kms. 7 hrs)
Cross the Tsarap Chu River and climb steeply to cross the Lachlung La pass (5065 Mts.). We then descend to the Pang plateau, which is the abode for the Kiang (Tibetan wild ass), perhaps the fastest animal at these altitudes. After the plateau we climb to the Tag Lang La pass (5292 Mts.). The second highest motorable road in the world this pass gives way to beautiful vies of the Karakoram Mountains and the Ladakh valley. Descend till Rumtse and camp overnight. OVERNIGHT IN TENTED ACCOMMODATION.

Day 08: RUMTSE-LEH (3500 Mts.) (85 Kms. 4 hrs)
Leisurely drive along the scenic Indus valley. Enroute stop over to visit the famous Hemis, Thiksey and Shey monasteries.
HEMIS MONASTERY: Situated just off the Manali-Leh Highway, Ladakh's biggest and wealthiest monastery is situated on the Leh - Manali road. It's popularity stems from the annual festival held here in summer. The festival coincides with Guru Padma Sambhava's (Buddha) birthday. It contains quite a few statues in gold and Stupas decorated with precious stones. It has a superb collection of Tankhas, including one, which is supposed to be the largest in existence and is exhibited only once every 12 years.
THIKSEY MONASTERY: 19 Kms from Leh, Thiksey is one of the largest and most impressive Gompas of Ladakh. The Thiksey monastery provides a panoramic view of the green Indus Valley from its vantagepoint atop a hill. It has chambers full of statues, Stupas and colourful Tankhas.
SHEY PALACE AND MONASTERY: This summer palace of the erstwhile King of Leh is set upon a hill. The monastery itself has a 7.5-meter high, copper statue of a sitting Buddha, wrought in gold. This is the largest of its kind in the world. OVERNIGHT IN LEH AT HOTEL.

Day 09: LEH
Morning excursion to Stok Palace. It is a one-hour drive from Leh to Stok. Dominating Stok is the royal palace. The museum in Stok palace is a show piece for the royal thanks while the collection of turquoise head friezes worn only for royal wedding is the most impressive in Ladakh. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Leh town visiting Shankar Gompa - situated 3 kms from Leh. The monastery has innumerable small statues of pure gold and a number of interesting paintings. Proceed to the Leh monastery and Leh palace. Walk around the Leh bazaar. OVERNIGHT AT THE HOTEL.

Day 10: LEH
Day free for independent activities to explore in and around Leh on your own. Evening attend local Ladakhi cultural show. OVERNIGHT AT THE HOTEL.

Day 11: LEH-DELHI
Transfer from hotel to airport in time for flight:-

LAMAYURU MONASTERY EXTENTION

Day 09: LEH/ LIKIR / ALCHI / ULETOKPO: (03 hours)
Drive to Uletokpo, Enroute visit Likir and Alchi monastery.
LIKIR MONASTERY:
Founded at the same time as Spitok and Thiksey, Likir is recognised as the foremost Delgupta monastery in Ladakh region. It is found near Saspol on the Srinagar-Leh road. It houses a great deal of gigantic clay statues of the Buddha in various forms; the primary attraction of this monastery is its 1000-year-old wall paintings, which made a visit more than worth while.
ALCHI MONASTERY:
The monastic complex at Alchi was built in the 11th century. Its sheltered position in the Indus valley, off the main trails to Leh, is probably the major reason why it survived wars and abandonment to the elements. It is the best surviving example of the era and is notable because it was built down in a valley instead of on a hilltop or mountainside. OVERNIGHT IN DELUXE TENTS AT ULETOKPO.

Day 10: ULETOKPO / LAMAYURU / ULETOKPO (06 hours)
Visit to the famous Lamayuru monastery and back to Uletokpo. Lamayuru is by far the oldest monastery in Ladakh. Initially a Bon monastery it is now the highest seat of Buddhism in Ladakh. OVERNIGHT IN THE ULETOKPO DELUXE CAMP.

Day 11: ULETOKPO / LEH
After breakfast transfer to Leh. On arrival transfer to hotel for overnight.
